Our Process

Engineering – Our staff of mechanical and manufacturing engineers offer engineering solutions to meet our customer’s needs from a single part to a dedicated work center synchronized to our customer’s production schedule. They use the latest engineering software (e.g. Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Gibbs CAM, etc.) to ensure excellent product quality and value.

Process Control & Scheduling – Our cutting edge ERP system (Visual by Infor) empowers our committed staff to efficiently plan and monitor every aspect of the manufacturing process, and to ensure timely deliveries. The detail data harvested by the system is used to accurately analyze job costs and offer competitive quotes.

Materials – We are experienced with mild and alloy steels, stainless, aluminum, copper, brass, galvaneal, galvanized, structural shapes, heavy plate, sheet, and bar stock in a wide variety of sizes and thicknesses.

Fabrication – CNC turret punching, laser cutting, plasma & oxy-fuel cutting, sawing, rolling and forming. We regularly process from 4” thick plate steel to 26ga. steel.

Welding – Rockett utilizes many types of welding technologies matching the best process for the best results for welding steel, stainless steel and aluminum. We offer standard & high frequency pulse MIG, TIG, Submerged Arc, and resistance welding. We have certified welders (AWS D1.1) ready to tackle your needs.

Painting – Rockett’s experienced paint staff utilizes two custom designed industrial powder coating systems to produce high quality and durable coatings. Both systems have 5-stage Iron Phosphate washers and Nordson spray equipment. Our large unit line is among the largest contract systems in the country and can handle products as large as 12’ x 12’ x 12’.We maintain our own salt spray chamber for internal testing of paint performance, and use 3rd party verification to ensure we meet the rigorous IEEE standard C57.12.28.

Other Finishing – We work closely with local suppliers for other types of finishing. Currently we outsource over 100,000 lbs. of fabricated parts per month to a local hot-dip galvanizer. We also have local access for zinc plating, heat treating, and passivation.

Quality Control – “Our mission is to provide quality products and value for our customers. We are committed to complying with established requirements through and effective quality management system and a program of continual improvement where success is measure through the analysis of key performance indicators known as quality objectives” (Quality Policy). Our ISO 9001-2008 final audit is scheduled for July, 2016.

Assembly – Rockett does a variety of assembly processes for NEMA-style enclosures, tanks, and other parts. We want to add value for you even after fabrication.

Shipping – We ship worldwide as well as offer good LTL and TL connections in the U. S.
